ACEH DAN TANTANGAN KEMISKINAN: MENELAAH PERAN PDRB DAN IPM

Poverty in Aceh Province is a complex problem that requires serious attention. This study aims to analyze the effect of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and Human Development Index (HDI) on the poverty rate in Aceh. Using secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) from 2019 to 2023, this study applies the panel data regression method to understand the relationship between GRDP, HDI, and poverty. The analysis results show that GRDP positively influences poverty, which is caused by economic inequality in income distribution, while HDI has a significant negative influence on poverty. Development policy in Aceh should not only focus on economic growth but also on equalizing income distribution, as well as increasing investment in the education and health sectors to improve the quality of life of the people. A multidimensional approach that integrates economic growth and human development is needed to address poverty effectively.
